The Bambu Lab R1 is a high-performance desktop 55W CO2 laser cutter and engraver that applies Bambu Lab's signature automation and motion control to laser fabrication.
Equipped with a sealed 55W CO2 glass tube, the R1 easily processes materials impossible for diode lasers—including clear acrylics, glass, and dense organic woods up to 20mm thick in a single pass. It introduces a hands-free Auto Laser Alignment system that motorized-adjusts internal mirrors in under a minute without thermal paper or manual tuning. Coupled with the TriSense System (dual cameras, distance laser, and encoders), the R1 brings plug-and-play precision, active vibration compensation, and rapid 1,000mm/s processing to creative studios and production workshops.

Trisense System - Drop in your workspace - crooked, curved, or tiny. R1 locates it, reads the surface, and tracks every move as it works, so every line lands exactly where you set it. This is Trisense. What you mark is what you cut.
Follow the Curve - From curved cups and spheres to uneven surfaces. Height sensing follows every rise and fall to keep the engraving sharp and consistent across the entire surface.
Vibration Compensation - When the toolhead changes direction, a split-second shake can ripple the line that follows R1's vibration compensation cancels it out, keeping lines crisp right out of the turn - the same technology as in our 3D printers.
Same work area. Smaller footprint. - R1 delivers the same working area as a typical CO₂ laser while taking up about a third less space.⁸
E1 Pro Air Purifier. Cleaner air, back in the room. - Built for R1, E1 Pro⁶ connects directly to R1's exhaust outlet and pulls smoke out at the source. Multiple filter layers, with activated carbon, catch smoke and fine particles and reduce odors.
