PolyLite CosPLA is formulated to solve the two biggest headaches in prop making: brittleness and sanding difficulty. Traditional PLA is notorious for being chippy when sanded and prone to snapping under stress. CosPLA features a modified polymer blend that provides significantly higher impact resistance and a unique soft-touch mechanical property that allows sandpaper to glide across the surface without melting or gumming up. This makes it the ideal material for helmets, armor pieces, and handheld props that require extensive post-processing and must withstand the rigors of a conventional floor.
Version A of PolyLite™ CosPLA is optimized for easier sanding and paintability, perfect for intricate props. Version B is enhanced for maximum durability, ideal for parts needing extra strength. Both versions offer better durability and sand-ability than regular PLA and are easier to paint.
