The Display Assembly is a sophisticated 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen unit that serves as the primary command center for the OrangeStorm Giga. Unlike many fixed displays, this unit features a detachable design, allowing users to magnetically remove the screen from the printer frame for handheld operation. This is particularly useful for a printer of the Giga's size, where you may need to monitor the nozzle or leveling while standing several feet away from the main control pillar.
The assembly runs on a custom Linux-based UI that provides a real-time model preview, multi-zone heatbed monitoring, and multi-nozzle configuration. It is the hardware interface for the printer’s Klipper-based firmware system, offering smooth, smartphone-like responsiveness.
