Description
The Elegoo Canvas is an official multi-material automatic filament switching system designed specifically for the Elegoo Centauri Carbon CoreXY 3D printer platform.
Serving as Elegoo's answer to automated multi-color and multi-material printing, the Canvas unit manages up to 4 filament spools simultaneously (expandable via daisy-chaining depending on ecosystem setup). It actively drives, retracts, and feeds filament through a centralized hub directly to the toolhead. This enables continuous color switching, automated spool rollover (relay when one spool depletes), and printing complex geometries using dedicated breakaway or soluble support materials (such as PVA or TPU/PETG combinations).
