Description
The Carborundum Glass Platform is the build surface of the Creality Sermoon D1 — a 295 × 281 × 4mm tempered glass plate with a carborundum coating that grips prints firmly while the bed is hot and releases them cleanly once cooled. That temperature-dependent adhesion is the point of a carborundum surface: no glue stick, no painter's tape, no adhesive residue to clean off between jobs.
This genuine Creality replacement is suitable for Sermoon D1 units with a chipped, cracked, or scratched plate, or one where the coating has worn through and prints no longer stick reliably. Creality officially lists 4004090059 as the Sermoon D1 Carborundum Glass Platform.
Features
Carborundum Coating: Delivers strong adhesion at printing temperature and easy release once the bed cools, eliminating the need for glue or tape.
Smooth, Flat Surface: Tempered glass provides a consistently level surface for reliable first layers across the whole plate.
Reduces Warping: Even adhesion across the build area helps prevent corners lifting on larger prints.
Easy Print Removal: Prints release on their own as the plate cools, with no prying or scraping needed.
Heat Resistant and Durable: Tempered glass construction built for repeated heating and cooling cycles over long-term use.
Genuine Creality Replacement: Original Creality spare part specifically listed for the Sermoon D1.
Direct Service Replacement: Drop-in replacement for a worn or damaged original plate.
