The i7 Nozzle Wiping Strip is an essential consumable elastomer component responsible for maintaining pristine nozzle hygiene during active printing. Positioned at the rear edge or waste-chute side of the print bed, this high-temperature resilient rubber strip serves as a mechanical squeegee for the hotend tip.
Before initiating a print or immediately following an automated filament change over the CFS Lite multi-color matrix, the toolhead automatically sweeps back and forth across this wiping strip. The physical friction strips away oozing plastics, residual blobs, and charred filament debris from the outer nozzle walls. By providing a clean nozzle tip right before a layer begins, the wiping strip prevents stray plastic blobs from ruining the first layer or leaving dark blemishes on light-colored prints.
