Description
The Y-Axis Optical Axis Lubricant Brush is an active maintenance module that sits on the Y-axis carriage. Unlike traditional printers that require manual greasing of the rods, this system features a high-density felt or synthetic fiber brush designed to hold and evenly distribute lubricant along the optical axes as the bed moves.
By maintaining a consistent microscopic film of oil, the brush reduces friction and prevents the metal-on-metal wear that occurs during the high-speed 600 mm/s accelerations characteristic of the Kobra X and Kobra 4. It also acts as a primary wiper, clearing dust and stray filament debris before they can enter the bearing blocks and cause stuttering or mechanical failure.
