Description
The Toolhead Board acts as the central electronic nervous system for the Kobra X’s printhead. Positioned directly on the moving carriage assembly, this micro-PCB aggregates all individual toolhead signals—including the heater cartridge, thermistor, dual cooling fans, extruder stepper motor, filament runout sensor, and LeviQ 3.0 auto-leveling probe.
Instead of routing dozens of loose, heavy wires back to the mainboard, the toolhead board condenses these signals into a single, high-efficiency multi-pin ribbon cable network. Over extensive operational hours, rapid carriage accelerations or static discharge can damage the onboard circuitry, leading to intermittent connection drops, false thermal runaway alerts, or sensor failures. Swapping in this drop-in OEM board restores stable data communication and ensures clean signal pathways.
