Description
The Material Throwing Assembly is the hardware responsible for the flick or ejection action that removes purged filament from the toolhead area. In high-speed multi-color printing, the ACE GEN2 printhead purges old color into a small waste spiral; the Material Throwing Assembly then mechanically clears this waste into the collection bin.
This assembly is crucial for Kobra X's automated waste reduction system. By ensuring that purged material is cleanly thrown away from the build plate, it prevents waste entanglement where stray plastic might otherwise be dragged onto the 3D model by the nozzle, a common failure point in rapid color-changing systems.
