Product Description

Description:

These 20mm Piezo Transducers operate on the piezoelectric effect: they generate a small voltage when physically deformed (vibrated or knocked) and, conversely, vibrate to create sound when an alternating electrical signal is applied.

Constructed with a brass outer plate and a ceramic inner element, they are exceptionally thin and lightweight. They are commonly used as "knock sensors" in Arduino projects or as inexpensive pickups for "Cigar Box" guitars and stomp boxes due to their ability to capture subtle mechanical vibrations.

Features:

Dual Functionality: Acts as both a sensitive vibration sensor and a miniature audio transducer (buzzer).
High Sensitivity: Capable of detecting light taps or subtle instrument resonances.
Durable Brass Construction: The brass base plate provides excellent conductivity and thermal stability compared to alloy alternatives.
Ultra-Thin Profile: At only 0.42mm thick, they can be easily glued or taped onto various surfaces without adding bulk.
Low Power Consumption: Ideal for battery-powered IoT devices and wearable electronics.
Wide Application: Used in digital watches, cameras, electronic drum pads, and structural health monitoring.
