Product Description
Description
Polymaker PolyLite LW-PLA is a unique, pre-foamed lightweight filament designed for applications where weight reduction is critical, such as RC airplanes, drones, and cosplay props. Unlike active-foaming filaments that expand during extrusion (requiring complex flow-rate math), PolyLite LW-PLA comes pre-expanded. This means you can use your standard PLA settings for an immediate weight saving of approximately 30% with zero blobbing or stringing issues typically associated with foaming materials.
Features
PolyLite™ LW-PLA: Ultra-Lightweight Prints, Consistent Performance
Innovative Pre-Foamed Technology Discover PolyLite™ LW-PLA - a pre-foamed PLA filament designed for projects where weight matters most. Unlike active foaming filaments, PolyLite™ LW-PLA is foamed during manufacturing, ensuring a consistently low density without the need to adjust extrusion temperatures.
Ideal Applications for Lightweight Models Perfect for aerospace hobbyists and anyone looking to reduce model weight, PolyLite™ LW-PLA delivers strong, ultra-light prints with impressive detail.
Printing Tips for Optimal Results To achieve the best print quality, review our recommended print settings before you begin. Note that LW-PLA can be prone to stringing, so fine-tuning your retraction and temperature settings is key.
Lightweight Strength You Can Trust Achieve lightweight strength and reliability with PolyLite™ LW-PLA - your go-to filament for specialized, weight-sensitive applications.

Safety Precautions
-
Always print in a well-ventilated area.
-
Avoid breathing the fumes while printing.
-
Do not touch the nozzle, heated bed, or printed object right after printing — let it cool down first before handling.
-
Keep the printer and filament away from children and pets.
-
Unplug the printer when not in use.
-
Store the filament in a cool, dry place to avoid moisture.
-
Wear gloves and a mask when sanding, cutting, or handling printed parts.
-
Keep away from open flames — most filaments are flammable.

- Safe and low-odor filament, but still print with good ventilation.
- Avoid overheating to prevent smoke or odor. -
- Allow the print to cool down before removing from the bed.
