The i7 Hotend Sock is a custom-molded, high-grade silicone sleeve that wraps securely around the printer's heating block. It acts as an effective thermal barrier, insulating the hotend from cooling fan drafts to maintain a stable nozzle temperature.
By trapping heat within the block, the sock improves energy efficiency and helps prevent thermal runaway errors during high-speed prints. Additionally, its non-stick surface protects the delicate heater elements and NTC thermistor wires from molten plastic buildup, stray filament strings, and messy print failures ("blob of death").
