Description

The i7 Extruder Gear Assembly is the mechanical heart of the filament feeding system. Positioned inside the main direct-drive toolhead, this dual-gear assembly directly grips the filament to push it into the hotend or pull it back during retractions.

Over months of high-speed printing—especially when running abrasive filaments like carbon fiber, glass fiber, or glow-in-the-dark blends—standard extruder gears can dull, collect plastic debris, or wear down. This can lead to issues like filament slippage, under-extrusion, or ghost tracking. Swapping in this factory-fresh gear core completely restores the printhead's original mechanical bite and precise volumetric feeding.
