The Toolhead Front Cover Assembly is a multi-functional component that combines the aesthetic outer shell of the toolhead with the critical part-cooling system. Unlike many other printers where the front cover is a purely cosmetic plastic piece, this assembly houses a high-performance blower fan that is essential for cooling filament as it is extruded, ensuring crisp overhangs and fine detail at high speeds.
It utilizes a magnetic attachment system, allowing it to snap onto the Toolhead Middle Frame without the use of tools. An integrated wiring harness connects the internal fan to the Extruder Connection Board, allowing the printer’s firmware to precisely control cooling based on the material being printed.
