FEP film is a consumable component in resin 3D printing. It forms the bottom layer of the resin vat, serving as a transparent, non-stick membrane between the liquid resin and the UV light source. Its main function is to allow the UV light to cure the resin while providing a low-adhesion release layer that minimizes the peel force when a newly cured layer separates from the vat surface. Regular replacement ensures reliable print success, faster lift speeds, and prevents light diffusion which can reduce print quality.
